I'd assume the K-teacher baseball dating game, (probably in the 3rd inning or so) is still a no-hitter? You'll need to clairfy seth. And you'll be glad to know that she aligns herself with the Cardinals. Guh. It's her one flaw.

That's a good thing though - hippie gals often have looser morals. In a good way. Very true, but they really don't age well. At all. All gals are depreciating assets, but the depreciation schedule on a hippie gal is only 5 years, whereas a normal gal has a much longer depreciation schedule. Hence the reason Ralpie decided that his "Ma" be Japanese. Asian women age better.

It could go either way. It looks like it is from the area where the ribeye meets the stip. No matter what, it should be in my belly!

It's a close call. I worked for a butcher for 3 years. Maybe my eyes for meat aren't what they used to be. Insert pun.

(1st inning = first date, 9th inning = wedding song) I was being quasi-crude in a subtle way....if you haven't "hit" it yet, then she's still pitching a no-hitter.

Having served 18 months at the Fareway meat counter in Clear Lake makes me an expert. I'd call it a NY Strip.
Definitely not an expert, HawkInMpls

There is a rather new place in Grinell, It is called "Lonskies" and it is on main street across from the Theatre. I dont know if youve been there but it is a laid back place with real good sandwiches.
They also have some good Beers on tap. Old Capital Brewery from Iowa City has their beer on tap there also.
Anyway i just wanted to let you know it was there if you have never been.

80% chance that's a ribeye.(at least in the CR area anyway) slightly skeptical because the length to width ratio doesn't seem quite right. The ribeyes around here are usually almost as wide as they are long but I'm a HyVee cult member. Mohawk, no need to rush into marriage obviously but if you do declare your undying love and affection around Christmas time I expect you to post the details/pics/ring. I think you're looking at a June 2010 wedding at the moment. Gotta go...I have to find my Mealoaf CD.

It's a ribeye. Too fatty for a strip. I worked at Bonanza Restaurant in the early 90's cooking. A strip don't have those fat lines in them.
By the way Spank, did you by any chance "beat your meat?"

That's a Strip. My first job out of college was a restaurant manager at a Steakhouse. I used to cut both Ribeyes and Strips off 20lb. loins every day for about 2 1/2 years and that is 100% a strip. And a good looking one to boot. You can tell because it doesn't have the C of fat in it that all ribeyes do. A lean ribeye from the front part of the loin starts out very lean and can look a lot like a strip. Back on topic, Congrats MoHawk glad everything is going well!

THat's what I was thinking Hoffa. The marbling and fat patterns look like that of a Strip, plus the size ratio.
Beat my meat.

I'll interject around the meat discussion, because I would hate to break that up:
The trip home went very well. Mom and dad loved her, so it looks like smooth sailing.

That really hurt MoHawk's potential. I still love him though.
