Cool. I like del Toro's work. I was initially concerned that without Peter Jackson on board, this project would suck (relatively speaking). Glad to hear those silly issues have been resolved. Should be a great couple of movies.

I'm nodding off just thinking about it.
I went to every LOTR movie when they were in theatres. I feel asleep in the theater every time. I never read the books, maybe that's why I found them so boring.
The only way I'll go see this is if they alter the story a little to include nazis that line the hobbits up and then mow them down with a chaingun.

Should be a great couple of movies. Speilburgh, Ron Howard, Terry Gilliam, the Cohen Bros., Wes Anderson, Judd Apatow, Tim Burton, and Kevin Smith could collaborate on a Hobbit movie for ten years, and it would still be a hot, steaming cup of horrible, epic suck.

I go on record as completely agreeing with Ghostee on this. These fans of fantasy and sci-fi have no grip whatsoever on reality. Damn, now I'm having flashbacks of those idiots in high school who played dungeons and dragons.
