Tis a rental though Chuckles. So why should I care about WOOD paneling in that? I ain't replacing it and hey, it adds to the charm of the shithole. Next year we'll buy something totes choice. May even have an outdoor shower.

Name the QBs you would take over Romo. I'll awaiting the giggles. Rodgers, Manning, Manning, Newton, Brees, Luck, Kaepernick, Wilson, Brady, Big Ben, Rivers, Ryan, and Flacco. That's 13. I am not even including Stafford and Dalton (younger versions of Romo). And don't get me started on Cutler (although he may be Romo's evil twin). Kap - never Newton - Meh, maybe Wilson - maybe Ryan - Romo did way more with a worse defense last year. Flacco - LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLLLLLLL Big Ben - Uhhhhh, no. Dalton - Dont you dare Stafford - Nope. Any team EVER takes away Megatron, he folds like a sack of potatas. Eli - Is this really that funny... on that one as well. Dude had one of the best defenses to ever walk to the turf. They had like 8 billion sacks. Romo's worst year? 19 picks. Eli? 3 years of 20+ picks. The list is Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Brady, Luck, and Rivers. And maybe on Wilson & Newton. I need to see Wilson without the juggernaut that is their defense.

Kap - already 3 championship games and 1 Super Bowl. Scratching the surface. Newton - agreed, maybe Wilson - defintely. Has shown more already than Romo ever will. Ryan - actually similar career than Romo. Like him better now Flacco - ring, ring? Hello Super Bowl winner Big Ben - 2 rings and more clutch in single finger than Romo has ever had. Made the throw to Santonio Holmes that Romo never could. Dalton - was seeing if you were paying attention Stafford - agree with you. not a fan. Eli - sorry. I will take winning at GB in frozen temps and 2 rings with key throws all over the place ahead of Romo. Not even close.

you are one that places huge emphasis on winning super bowls. I do not. I think that's where we differ.
I know that's the main goal and all, but man, some of those guys had extremely good teams around them. Wilson is one of them, even though I like him a lot. Big Ben, in his prime....ok, I'll agree. But he isn't moving around much any more.
and i hate eli manning, so maybe i have a bias.
flacco sux man. you know it, i know it, billy knows it.

That's interesting. Look at all the QBs on that list. The vast majority of them are good/great QBs. The fact that he's on that list disproves your point right there. And the fact that he is number 5 just blows it out of the water. Actually, it proves my point. If he really is the #5 QB, you would think you would make more clutch plays when the game is on the line. The defense sucks (and they were the worst in the league last year) but that has not always been the case. If you can't see that Romo is the Jerry Jones "I am always right" all time greatest hoax, I can't help you. There is a reason he wasn't drafted and there's a reason the Cowboys will never be a serious contending team while he is the starting QB. By the way, Matt Ryan is #11, Chad Pennington is #12, and Jeff Garcia is #15. Need I say more? I think Pennington only played liek 2 or 3 full seasons. He had a noodle arm and was terrible, but he played on a few marginally decent teams and wasn't asked to do too much. He also wasn't thrown to the wolves early in his career. I think over a course of a full season, 85-90 is about where an average guy who has a decent year will wind up. Pennington is just on there because of the small sample size. No one was delusional enough to leave him out there when he was sucking it up (which would have normalized his ranking) and he was a China doll who was hurt a bunch.

If Flacco sucks (and there is some agreement in my soul somewhere), you have to see the same in Romo. Flacco managed to play well in one postseason run and string together some wins (with the help of the D, of course). Big Ben did it twice! So did Eli! Romo has not managed to put together anything in any game of importance (except one lone playoff victory). I just don't see that he has IT (the same IT everyone sees in CJ Beathard!).

There is nothing special about Flacco, Rapelisberger or Eli Manning, but they all HAVE IT when a truly big game is on the line. None of them are anywhere near truly elite QBs, but they are all cereal fucking gamers when needed. For guys who are similar talent-wise, but didn't have IT, see, e.g., Warren Moon, Neil O'Donnell, Tony Romo and Bernie Kosar. Decent QBs, but just not fucking winnahs.

Eli and Big Ben had to lead their teams on game winning drives to win the Super Bowl when the defenses gagged. Marino was pretty much always on shitty teams. Super Bowl isn't be all end all because Troy fucking Aikman was just an average QB on great teams, but Romo has shown time and again that he just ain't a big gamer, liek Warren Moon and Bernie Kosar.

Eli manning had 27 interceptions last year. No defense could even save him.

Jeff Garcia was a damn good QB, even with the fact that he played at the VERY end of his prime. Pennington is the outlier, of course, and Matt Ryan? Look at the numbers he's put up. Jesus. Really. Those 3 QBs are rated ahead of Marino, Graham, Favre (insert own joke here), Kelly, Staubach, etc. I could go on. If you can't figure out that today's rules that tilt the field towards the offense have skewed how the QB rating works, then I am not sure what to say. Phillip Rivers is #4 all time? I am not going to go with that. Oh, and Matt Schaub is #13 for pete's sake.

I was thinking it was something more along the lines of "How To Install And Enjoy Wood Veneer Paneling". Nope, I'm pretty sure that field guide is meant to be a prequel to his already famous "Being the Dominant Predator at your Daycare" series.

Two years ago I played in this same golf tourney and we lost to central Michigan. Could we lose to a worse Purdue team today?
