Franken said he's releasing the information to be transparent about his mistakes. He said he "would like to get back to talking about the lives of the people of Minnesota and the issues this campaign is about."
Where have I heard that before.

Are you frigging kidding me? That's all you/Coleman/the GOP has? $70,000 on millions in income.... that was paid, but to a different state, and an unrelated $25,000 fine for workers comp insurance to a state with laws almost as f'd up as in California? Let's think like a Conservative for a second: Al Franken's ~$100,000 >= McCain's $10 - $50 Million breaking of campaign finance laws... Al Franken's ~$100,000 >= Coleman's full endorsement of programs that literally make taxpayers to give cash away by the ton. IOKIYAR....

Hey nice work Socal. You're right - Al Franken is a great guy. Did you happen to hear the reading of his story he did mocking a caricature of Asian women? That was priceless. I think with stellar human beings like Stuart Smalley, he should get a rebate of the taxes he didn't pay.
And that McCain guy. He has actually broken so many laws related to campaign finance, you cannot even list them all, right??? I mean, after all, you are sure that taking a security interest in future payments is against the law, right? No sense in having a judge and jury consider the question right? And I'm sure using his wife's money is against the law, right?

You're right. Beyond S. Smalley deserving a tax refund instead of the payments he owed, and him also making comments which show he is an absolute racist...I have nothing. No surprise though that idiots like you will line up behind the guy.
Who wouldn't want this guy representing them?

Him reading a part of his satirical story of Newt Gingrich in Vietnam visiting a hooker. Imagine how bad it would be if he were not reading it word for word, depicting a fictional character, and not doing it in a comedic setting.

A fictional character he made up. The libs are all for free thought and free speech, in all instances:

No, I wanted to ban all free speech when I saw that shirt. I strongly doubt that if McCain wrote a book with a fictional character saying "Yes, Massah...etc." to a politician and then read the book in an ethnic voice at a book reading, you and your liberal allies (as well as me and my conservative allies) would be up in arms about whether he had the judgment necessary to legislate the people.

No, McCain isn't into comedic impressions... he tries to infuse his humor in totally humorless topics... i.e. bomb bomb bomb Iran & his wanting to keep US troops in Iraq for 100... 1000... or a Million years... Comedic Genius I tell ya!!!

Trust me socal, I question the judgment of McCain tremendously. Dude sat in a tiger cage for a long time and has made some really stupid comments. It's troubling that he is allegedly the best the GOP could dig up.

It's troubling that he is allegedly the best the GOP could dig up. What's really troubling - is the things that endeared him to people like me 8 years ago, have been sold off along with his soul. Heck, even he's discounting his own "cage" time... With a vote a while back, the argument was made by the side he ended up voting for, that (to paraphrase) "solitary confinement wasn't really torture - nor solitary... as the prisoners could still communicate with each other by speaking or tapping on the walls"... which greatly diminishes his own testimonial and heroism. The GOP should just concede defeat this year. Even in the LA-06 congressional district - not held by a Dem since 1970 - that Bush won with 59% of the vote in 04... is having a runoff election this weekend - where the Dem is leading by 9 points in the polls. So YTD, we've taken Dennis Hastert's old seat & are now set to take a solidly red seat in a solidly red State.... Bush had better reinstate Tom Ridge & raise the terror alert level soon....

I still think whoever wins between Hillary and Obama will win but not by much.
