I'm back at the stage, the BoDeans are setting up. Would have preferred Pieta but you can't always get what you want.

Their reputation as "the" Des Moines band for a long time plagued the city from ever being cool. They suck so fucking bad with that brand of semi-Christian pussy rock. Thankfully they aren't as prominent as they once were. I went down to the art fest the last two nights since it's near my place. It was a pretty good time and there were some fairly attractive ladies as well. I hope this trend of nice work days and shifty weekends ends soon, especially for the 4th.

Everybody knows Slipknot is "the" Dez band. Ghost is a big fan as well.

Holy fuck shit. Someone needs to ban some cunts up in here. If you'd shut your pie hole once in a while you'd realize our beloved little piece of the planet, the lush land between two rivers, is fertile ground for the arts, especially of a populist nature. It just takes hold in the black dirt, is nurtured and enriched by sun, wind, moisture, manure and blossoms into something rich and passionate, yet understated, to be savored quietly at ones own leisure. Sort of like Amana wines. Celebrate your state. Give tribute to its rich artistic flora and fauna. my inlaws had a wine that someone gave them from the amanas. they were moving in their new place and they decided to see how bad it really was. i smelled it and i couldn't even take a sip. it was that bad. they all had one sip and dumped it. it was horrendous.

No need to drive getting it here now. However not softball size like they had near Laker, in particular Rockwell City.

Went kneeboarding yesterday. Knee didn't like it much. Sorry, no wakeboarding. Whoever thought it was a good idea to tie a rope to a board, pull it behind a boat and have someone kneel on it? There is no rope tied to the board. You hold a handle like that used for le water skiing. It helps if you also lyft. It is much easier in my advanced state of decrepitude to knee board than ski. At my current weight with the proleliner wide open, i have to drag for nearly 3/4 of a mile before i get the skis to the surface. I can then ski for approximatly 1/4 mile before i drop the handle exhausted.

3/4 of a mile or 220 yards? If he ran a furlong there would be no need to call in EMT's, just send the coroner over.

Looks like Le Dez is going to get hit in a little bit. I hope my parents start going down to the basement now. It might take a while.
