I mean I get that getting benefits from unions when you don't pay the piper seems shitty but so does forcing someone to join a union as a condition of employment. I dont know that right to work is designed to financially harm unions but certainly it's gonna have that effect. It seems about half the states have right to work laws already, does anyone have any hard data showing right to work states have lower wages or shittier benefits than their counterparts?

Step 1. Stick it to unions= stick it to the libs Step 2. Sticking to the libs cred= Run for GOP Presidential nod step 3. Run for president=Say something absurdly racist/sexist/molestist, and leave the race Step 4. Leaving the race=Write a book claiming the press set you up Step 5. Profit

I dont know that right to work is designed to financially harm unions but certainly it's gonna have that effect. It seems about half the states have right to work laws already, does anyone have any hard data showing right to work states have lower wages or shittier benefits than their counterparts? #1--I don't have data supporting/not supporting lower/higher wages in right to work states. I would assume there would be no difference...union is in place anyway. #2--I am not automatically anti-union. I've had plenty of jobs where I wish I had a bargaining unit to represent me. I would have 'won' a couple of times for sure. No doubt. #3--I am decidedly anti-union when they massively over-inflate the wages paid due to "we deserve it", going against that tried and true invisible hand of supply/demand. #4--I am also decidedly anti-union when a worker is forced to pay dues to join a union in order to work. That's unadulterated BS. #5--I am also decidedly anti-union when they do stupid stupid things like PATCO striking despite what their agreements and by-laws stated. Union Management forced Ronnie's hand. Ronnie shit-canned them all. One of the brightest moments ever in politics. Still brings a tear to my eye.

I agree with the Germans. The Chinese, despite certain restrictions on capital from sources that fall out of favor with the Party, are running what is probably the most capitalistic economy in the world. Those sumnabitches will let you do any fucking thing, because as the saying goes, life is cheap in the Orient. But the Party has completely foreclosed the ability of the proles to vote for any amount of welfare or any other types of laws that Western nations have regarding working conditions or the environment. No way the West can compete with that. China's gonna have a gigantic fucking economy in 20 years and their growth will likely chip away at ours, Germany's and Japan's.

China is demographically hamstrung due to two in, one out. That and the fact that they build ghost cities to inflate GDP. I was referencing German co-determination policy & works councils. Step back for a moment. Is it rational for labor and management within the same fucking entity to exist in an adverse relationship, when the very existence of said entity relies on the codependent functionality of each? articles.latimes.com/2014/jan/20/opinion/la-oe-finkin-vw-work-councils-20140120

However, the Wasteland has a symbiotic relationship between trolls and mods.
