Saw "Inception" last night.
Best movie of 2010 so far. Well worth a look.
Also, it needs to be seen at least twice.

I think might go watch that tonight when I get off work, I get the feeling Christopher Nolan may become the best director of this era of movies. Also, about "The Road", I didn't see the movie and while the book was depressing as all hell I still thought it was kind of uplifting because it makes you appreciate how well we really have it in modern society.

I have no desire to see it based on them. Well, that and the fact that Leonardo DiAssholio is in it. Maybe a rental? Where does this rate with Avatar?

I realize not everybody's tastes are the same, but I enjoyed the heck out of Inception and thought I'd pass along my thoughts. It's a thinking man's movie.

Yes, Netflix streaming is the bomb. We use it daily/nightly.

I like thinking. I like movies. I think I'll try that movie. If that's the case, Mulholland Drive is your type of movie.

Is Inception a "Vanilla Sky" type of movie?

Is Inception a "Vanilla Sky" type of movie? I don't think so, I think I'm going to see it tonight. I actually thought "Vanilla Sky" was a really good movie even though I can't stand Tom Cruise. It was way better than "Being John Malkovich" or "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind", maybe I'm just to prollish to enjoy the sophisticated artsyfarsy-ness of those flicks.

I liked Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...but really didn't like Being John Malkovich. I just 'get' the supposed genius about it.
I think I liked ESotSM just because it was so original...the idea of a man being in his own brain trying to save his own memories.

I may see "Inception" tomorrow night. I am going to be down in Florida for one night with time to kill and there is a theater right by the hotel.
Vanilla Sky was actually pretty good. I also liked ESotSM.
I saw Mulholland Drive and did not get it at all. Apparently, I am not that bright.

It's a thinking man's movie. I will probably rent it. I actually like thinking man's movies, but I really dislike Leonardo D. Maybe if his character dies a tragic death, I will enjoy it. lol

A few more...
Sherlock Holmes - my expectations were very low for this movie, so maybe that helped. It was overall a cheesy movie, but had enough action and eye candy to keep me a little bit entertained. Probably would be good for a hungover Sunday.
A Serious Man - it's definitely a Coen Brother's movie. I was really diggin this, but the ending threw me off big time. I would still recommend it if you like their previous works.
Eraserhead - this is a cult classic. It's David Lynch's first film. I don't even know what to say...it's a fucking trip. Disturbing. While it's honestly tough for me to tell if I liked the movie or not, it has staying power. It's tough to get some of the images out of my head. It's not what I would call an 'enjoyable' experience watching the movie.

You should watch the movie "UP", like all other Pixar movies, it's pretty good and some cool eye candy. Smoke a bunch of OG Kush or Deisel topped with Bubble Hash first for optimal enjoyment. I watched 'Up' last night. I can't ever watching a pixar movie, so I was pretty impressed with the graphics. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but was pleasantly surprised.

Watched your standard chick flick with the wife on Sunday, "When in Rome." I would give it a C+ pretty much your typical chick flick that has some really funny parts. I will say other then the funny parts the best part about the movie was how damn hot Kristen Bell looked in it. I am not a huge fan of hers but she looked great in the flick. Yes. Just watched this on Saturday night with the wife. I was entertained and didn't hate it. Solid B- in my mind. Kristen Bell is far and away the best part of the movie, no doubt. Will Arnet's character is pretty good too.

Audition - for those that are not horror movie buffs, this is supposed to be one of the more disturbing movies out there. It's in Japanese, but the subtitles aren't needed to watch the macabre. It was pretty good...it starts off very slow, but the last half hour makes everything worth it!

Is it scary, or just gory? I love horror movies, but gore without reason bores me. I don't like many, if any, of the "slasher" flicks but stuff like Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, The Grudge, etc., scare the shit out of me. That's a good thing, BTW.

There is definitely graphic violence. I didn't find it too scary...however the utter sadistic nature of one of the characters is pretty disturbing. Also, it actually has a story line, instead of just some slasher film. It did get a 77% at Rottentomatoes, my most trusted site for reviews.
